I have a few technical problems.
First, the camera lens lid is not staying on any longer. I wipe my fingerprints off the lens very often. I have found the proper replacement easily but the price is too high. Till I reach Cairo I should be able to manage.
Problem number two: my little Deuter backpack I'm using every day to carry around my gear and water and stuff is becoming uncomfortable. That is, the gear is too heavy and the pack is not designed for that. There is no way I will be able to use it as a day pack on the trek. That would be self-inflicted pain! But I have one Deuter pack in mind that I've seen.

Go Deuter go! And you should get the proper filters and cover: it's 3 months on the road and a small thing like a lens cap can become a nuisance when it fells off the lens every 5 minutes or so.
