Freaking Out in Cairo

Weekend starts Friday and Sunday is Monday. Thursday is Friday and every other week there's an extra holy day. We just had Coptic Christmas. I probably wouldn't mind this at all, if I were employed in Egypt. But I need my visas. Faster!

It takes 7 days to get the visa for Sudan. That means that I'd get it after starting the tour on the 12th of January.
Finding the embassies was easy thanks to the many helpful people in the city. They all put a lot of effort into it. None of them covered their ears in denial. Once again I have to state how soothing this is.

Problematic, however, is finding out the business hours. Because they seem to be a little flexible.

With the Ethiopian visa it seems that I hit a lucky strike. Not so with the cargo office at the airport for picking up my bike.

I freak out and need hours to calm down. Traffic is bad and we almost had a car crash this morning on the way back from the airport.

I freaked out yesterday at the embassy, today at the airport, tomorrow?

Tomorrow I need to run to 2 embassies and see if I can also make it to the airport again within the open hours.
